OUR STORY
What started as a spirited rivalry between medical and law students at the University of Ottawa has grown into something much greater — a movement rooted in community, connection, and compassion.
The Med vs Law Charity Classic was born from a simple idea: to bring students together through the love of hockey while making a tangible impact on mental health in our community. Each year, future doctors and lawyers lace up not just to compete, but to champion a cause bigger than themselves.
Since our inaugural game in 2024, we’ve raised funds and awareness for charitable organizations such as The Royal Ottawa. Every ticket sold, every cheer from the stands, and every volunteer hour contributes to helping kids and families thrive.

Our event has quickly become one of the most anticipated nights on campus — not just for the game, but for the camaraderie, charitable spirit, and the unifying power of sport.
The Med vs Law Charity Classic brings together future healthcare and legal professionals to face off for a cause, rallying their peers through an high-energy, student-led hockey game.
Whether on the ice or in the stands, our community comes together to support meaningful impact — one goal at a time.
